As aired on Investigation Discovery

The Family Curse:
Identical twins Jordan and Simon Gann had potential in their youth. But as teens they take a dark turn. Soon small lies and thievery give way to a global crime spree where the twins exploit the vulnerabilities of others in a cruel and twisted game.

  1. Just watched the show on ID Discovery. At first I was like "how could anyone believe that crap," then I finished the episode and read various internet articles and thought the "real" twins were much better looking than the actors, so maybe just maybe I could have been duped by them. We moved to NOLA when I was 13 and I was working in a sandwich shop on Bourbon when I was 17 and on the day of my 18th birthday I was offered a bartending job on Bourbon so I definitely learned about people, quickly realizing the world was not all fairy tales and unicorns. So, after a few interactions from people who used me because of my soft heart and generous nature I learned to not try and save the world. Today I find myself a "victim" every day as my son is sociopath and lies and steals from family and friends as if it is his career. He has been doing this for 20 years and I don't know how to help him and afraid if I turn my back on him, he may commit suicide or worse yet be murdered by someone he steals from. The Gann twins are lucky no one ended them. Unfortunately, putting them in jail stops them for awhile but it doesn't get the money back to the people who really needed it. They need to be held accountable and pay people back via their parole officers. I wonder how their parents feel about all the grandchildren out there that they will never know. That alone would break my heart as a grandparent. God bless you, your mom and Liam. I bet the joy he brings to you was worth every penny he stole from you. Trust me you won!

  3. It's sad that so many women have been duped by these two men. They must be so convincing to say the least. However, I can't imagine how gullible and naive some of these women had to be to fall for their charms and cons. Unfortunately, guys like these know just how to find women who can be manipulated because they are sweet and trusting and naive. Would be curious to hear from some people who weren't duped by them, though, so they could help educate others to see the red flags before it's too late.

    1. I had a friend that told me, "The generosity of women never ceases to amaze me." When he said this I thought that he must think all women are stupid but I realize that his statement was true.

  6. I'm watching this on ID right now. Wow! How scary! What's amazing is that it sounds like without your sleuthing & blog so many more people may have been victimized. Then being smart enough to video tape all the phone calls. You're a rockstar! Kudos to you for taking a stand!

  7. Wow just been televised in England tonight on CBS Reality, I hope they stay in prison for a long time because they will continue to con people if they are released. Be warned ladies!!!

    1. They ARE BOTH free and operating here in Florida right now. Simon is on felony probation and his even worse brother Jordan actually served his short prison stint and has been free since his release on June 8, 2012! Not to worry tho, a narcissistic, sociopathic idiot like Jordan will fuck up again and be back in jail and or prison in no time. They are sleezeball scumbags

  8. Just watching it on TV in New Zealand. Good on you for blogging. The Internet makes the world a much smaller place.

  9. Just watched the documentary on Sky CI in Nelson, New Zealand. It seemed to me your blog is a crucial tool in helping others cotton onto the Gann con men. Good on you for getting the word out! It's astounding that after all these years and victims they're still operating but hopefully between your blog & other media coverage they'll find it harder to con women and get away with it.

  11. MJG - thank you for bravely sharing your story. I am currently writing a book about my experience with a narcissist who was scheming my "accidental" death.

  12. It's amazing to me how gullible people are sometimes. No offense ladies, but maybe if you would stop fantasizing about rich guys all the time your common sense wouldn't be lost. Sorry Meredith, but you came off looking like a gold digger in the Evil Twins episode. After thinking that Gann was a doctor and had money your "who wouldn't like a guy like that?" comment was extremely shallow and short-sighted. Spend more time getting to know someone and less time looking at their monetary value. As long as women continue to put money ahead of common sense, guys like the Ganns will always exist. Like the Ganns, seemed like most of these women had their own hidden agendas also. How ironic.

    2. You've never been charmed by a nice, good looking guy when you were out drinking? Alcohol doesnt bring the best judgement out in anyone. Young women are often flattered by men, they're just not typically conmen. I didn't think Meredith seemed shallow at all, I thought it was what any young lady would think. A young rich doctor: impressive!

    4. Maybe she thought he must be "credible" if he's a doctor (seeing how he's at least employed). What man wouldn't fall for the charms of a good-looking woman that gives him some attention? You guys are just as vulnerable.

  13. I watched this show on ID. I find it hard to believe these two guys can find (multiple times) girls dumb enough to fall for these guys. The idea that this girl on the show met a random guy and spent all this money on him, drove him all over and took her to her house. Not to forget about her sleeping with him and getting knocked up! That was the best part of the show! I wished she would have had a daughter so she would have to explain how mommy was "loose" and slept with random strangers.
I find it really hypocritical that this girl is all mad about what dude did, but it was fine for her to act the way she did. If she wouldn't had slept with random guys, she wouldn't have got her life screwed.

    4. That was obviously written by an individual with some serious need of Mental Health Professionals. That paragraph had to be writtn by someone who is lashing out and this is the best they can do because it is there only outlet. I bet it is one of the Gan brothers, it's always a coward that would sleep with a woman get what he wants then call her loose. Have you ever heard of a decent guy who has never met a woman bother to call a woman Loose for no reason? It takes two to so call act the way he is implying. Face it the loser Gann brother played on a nice persons emotions and like a little boy went to play somewhere else because little boys dont know any better. Hahaha losers. As a mother I would hate for my daughter to run into this kind of a person. I think this is a great blog and I am glad Discovery ID aired this today. I swear one of the Gann brothers is in Utah. A friend of mine showed up to a party with a guy looking just like them. I will have to look at the photos.

    5. You bash the women yet you post anonymously. It is you who is pathetic. Victim blaming and shaming is nothing short of bullying. Get off of your keyboard and be a productive part of society. How about instead of bullying you become an inspiration for someone by lifting them up instead of putting them down. Bullies are a dime a dozen, heroes are few and far in between.

  15. I saw Simon Gann this week at a Starbucks in Fort Lauderdale beach trying to scam a guy. He was speaking to him for hours. Only learned about him the next day when I saw a poster on the street, and recognized him. He is still at it.

  17. idk how these girls are such idiots. Giving someone thousands in a night/weekend you just met. It doesn't seem weird to you at all he has no money and no friends or family to ask for help? Meredith I don't feel sorry for you in the least and this blog is just desperate and embarrassing that you were this hung up on one guy who didn't like you

    2. You're a dispicable human being for saying such things! Even if she did do the wrong thing for giving him money, they is also the fact that there are numerous children out there that will never know their father due to his actions! When individuals lie through their teeth so much that they have themselves believing the stories they tell then obviously there is a problem on the person/s doing the lying! Kudos for you blaming the victims...idiot!

    1. I was wondering that myself. The show just aired again. I can't believe with their history that they are both out on bail. These guys shouldn't even get bail!! And who the hell bailed them out?! Makes me sick that the justice system seems to reward these fools.

    2. I encountered Simon Gann this past weekend at Caesar's in Las Vegas. I was having a drink and watching a baseball game in the Sportsbook when some random guy a few seats over started talking to me. He introduced himself as Sam, and he gave me the whole story about having Autism and being a card counter, and how he makes so much money gambling for his clients. He also showed me pictures on his phone of himself with his clients and all the money he won for them. I didn't have much interest in what he was telling me, but I acted like I was interested to see what other kind of ridiculous crap he would say. At the end of the conversation, he gave me his cell phone number (I watched him call my phone from his), and jetted of as he said one of his clients flew him out to Vegas from NY to play for him. He said he would be playing in Caesar's high limit room for about 90 minutes starting at 11:30 pm. I walked past/into the room a few times between 11:30 pm and 1 am, and he was no where to be found. I didn't realize who he was until after he left our conversation and I googled his cell phone number. I have no idea what he actually did once he left Caesar's, but I'm sure he was going to try and scam someone.

  20. Hey @ AnonymousMarch 18, 2017 at 11:12 AM:

Are you fucking kidding me? I don't recall ever asking for anyones sympathy and this is NOT a desperate attempt for anybody who didn't like me and more so to actually expose them for being the scumbag that he is. He is a severe loser and he has nothing to do with me and I don't want any money from him! My sole purpose of all of this was to make sure that this didn't happen to anybody else. If you find me to be an idiot woman because of that, then you may want to rethink your definition of idiot because of my actions this has been aired in Canada in Mexico and the entire United States of America and many national networks - so you know what there big guy?! Have the balls to post your name you can kiss my fucking ass because it's guys like you that make the world a terrible place.

  23. On June 15, 2017, I met Simon Gann aka Sam Jacouris through online dating app called What's Your Price. He end up spending money on me. He bought me drinks, food and gave me money to gamble because I asked for it. But he was pissed at the end because I didn't give him money and didn't fell for his so-called eidetic memory and could count cards on black jack table. I honestly enjoyed hanging out with him because he was pretty funny and he made me laugh. I even heard him talking French and Italian on the phone. I was impressed how he could turn his 1,400 dollars cash into 3,600 on black jack table within 10 minutes. Unfortunately, he lost most of it playing craps. I do believe he could count cards but that doesn't mean I'm going to invest money for that. He told me he's going to take care of me because he feels very comfortable around me. He told me he was going to meet some guy that flew him to vegas to gamble their money on black jack and split 50/50 if he wins.
An hour later after he took off to meet the guys to play blackjack, he text me and told me the guys are not answering their phone and he only have 500 dollars left and not enough money to play black jack. He then asked me if I want to invest money so he could play and make more money for me. I said " I'm cool, no need to gamble my money." Then he started texting me weird... saying I don't care about him and I only like him for his money. I immediately start putting his phone number on search and found out he's a con man. Being a bitch pays off and it feels good not getting ripped off. Don't hustle a hustler!
